FEAR

Down the dark alley; he was on the run
Scared of the murderer; afraid of the one.
The marauder mutated in to a salivating dog,
A nerve wrecking sight in the lifting fog.

The animal disappeared: he abruptly turned.
Heavy breaths, his lungs they burned.
In the dead of the night, a lonely dame
He could not fathom the meaning of the game.

Raven black hair and a faceless face,
Mounting terror, his heart began to pace.
He tossed and turned, and woke up with a start,Drenched in sweat.
The fear- an inherent part.
