THE SAILOR

Setting out on a journey, doomed to win,
Destined to reach where man has never been.
Vaunting his courage; flaunting his sway,
The chosen, sailing along the volatile way.

Nebulous replicas and immaculate lore,
The attire of honesty the sailor wore.
The turbulent waves and the fading light,
Instilled within the strength to fight.

The plotting glances and the baseless themes,
Fresh in his mind were the venal schemes.
The stage had been set, he had fallen in.
The outcome was trivial; he was doomed to win.
